Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been working out?
I have been consistently working out since August 2015. And by consistently I mean between 4 to 6 days per week. With the duration of between 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
What have you found to be the most effective way to exercise?
Everyone has different things that work for them. What has worked for me is focusing on one primary muscle and one secondary muscle per workout. This mixes things up and keeps things interesting well being able to focus on different muscle groups and not leave any of them out. These are called workout splits. My workout splits generally consist of back and bicep, chest and triceps, shoulders and calves, and legs and abs.
What are the top supplements that you’d recommend?
Protein is a must. Whether you get it from your normal foods or you take a protein supplement, it is important to get enough. Secondly is creatine, this will help hydrate your muscles and give you more strength as you work out. By giving your muscles more strength, your workouts will be more effective. Lastly our branch chain amino acids, often called BCAA’s. These help your muscles recover.
How do you maintain motivation to workout?
I think motivation comes and goes, so it is more important to make it a habit. Use motivation to help you create a habit, because once it is a habit your day will rely on it. And once it becomes part of your routine, your day will feel unbalanced if you don’t do some sort of fitness activity that day.
Favorite piece of workout equipment?
My favorite piece of workout equipment is a weight vest. I like the weight vest primarily because I can do less repetitions of certain workouts and still get the same results. This allows me to save time and not have to spend too long at the gym or working out at home.
